We are also involved with Feeding and Education programs in the cities of Salvador and Lauro de Freitas, both located in the state of Bahia, and in the poor rural town of Sao Miguel do Araguaia, in the state of Goias, where, along with the feeding and education program, we also supply monthly food parcels for families suffering extreme hardship.
We also work on the Ilha do Bananal. which is an inland island, formed where the River Araguaia forks and then rejoins 200 miles later forming which is known as a ‘river island’. On the island there a number of indigenous villages, 5 of which we supply food for the children there. These are villages of Barreira Branca, Mirindiba, Cachoeirinha, Weheria and Itxeó.
